The day before the show, Peppermint Fizz lets slip that there will be a talent contest. Lots of grooming ensues, to the bewilderment of the pets. She suggests a pet show, and Strawberry seems skeptical, but eventually she and her friends agree. In "Peppermint's Pet Peeve", we meet the villain in Strawberry Shortcake's sweet, sweet world: Peppermint Fizz, who wants to prove that her pet, Cola Chameleon, is best. Strawberry explains that she can love both of them, and Custard discovers that Strawberry hadn't forgotten "Just for Custard Day" at all - it's tomorrow! Strawberry's found a babysitter for Pupcake, but Custard suggests they turn the day into "Just for Custard and Pupcake Day". When he isnt changing color, Cola has brown scales from head to toe and a red and white peppermint-patterned belly. ![]() He is Peppermint Fizzs pet chameleon (though he was called a 'lizard' byHuckleberry Pie and Custard.) He is Peppermints first pet, the other she owns is Cherry Vanilla. Pupcake's notorious loud howl gets them found, and Custard is properly ashamed of herself. Cola is a character from the 2003 adaptation of Strawberry Shortcake. Angry Custard tries to make Pupcake lost in the woods, but they both end up lost. ("If I was Custard," says my daughter, "that would really annoy me too.") Soon "Just for Custard Day" arrives, and it seems that Strawberry's forgotten. He makes huge messes, won't let Custard nap, howls constantly, and gets a whole lot of Strawberry's attention. The dog (who Strawberry names Pupcake) certainly is a disruption. But plans are interrupted when Strawberry takes in a stray dog. In "Here Comes Pupcake", Custard, Strawberry's pampered pink cat, is looking forward to the "Just for Custard Day" she'll spend with her beloved Strawberry. He accidentally falls asleep but then Vanilla Icing slaps him awake and she snickers with a mean grin.Strawberry Shortcake and her friends cavort with their pets and learn about sharing, tolerance and love. He is in the audience of the Cinderella play in The Play's the Thing. He appears in Win Some, Lose Some and assists peppermint with her cheating. Peppermint sings and dances with Cola while singing about how she loves him. Cola is later seen playing with the rest of the pets when he hears Strawberry Shortcake's song. ![]() Pupcake reveals that he is actually lip-syncing by rolling on and chewing on the cord to the tape recorder. Cola then makes his appearance on stage singing a Sinatra-style made-up song. Lemon Tort is a character introduced in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, making her debut in the second season where she first appeared in the episode LemonLime Back in Time. She demands that Cola sabotages the rest of the pets in order to win. 'Great butterscotch I did it The Hovercraft 800' - Lemon Tort shows off her new hovercraft feature. This helps him blend in with his surroundings.Ĭola made his debut in Peppermint's Pet Peeve, where Peppermint Fizz enrolls him into the pets' talent show. Like your average everyday chamaeleon, Cola can change his color. When he goes on stage to sing during the events of Peppermint's Pet Peeve, he dons a purple coat and gets dark blue hair and a mustache of the same color. When he isn't changing color, Cola has brown scales from head to toe and a red and white peppermint-patterned belly.
